Squads Gathered in His Name

No more than ten. That is the whole point.

Small groups meeting on Zoom for four weeks — one month. Close enough that you get heard, not just taught at. The next squads start November 4th.

"For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them."

Matthew 18:20 · NIV

Why it stays small

Close enough that nobody disappears.

In the Marine Corps, a squad is small enough that the leader knows every name, notices who is quiet, and can tell when somebody is carrying something they have not said out loud yet.

In this season I want to grow and stay close with my brothers and sisters — not like in a classroom. Because in a classroom, somebody always disappears in the back. And if you are the kind of person who has a loud spirit behind a quiet exterior, a big room is exactly where you will hide — and hiding is the thing we are trying to get you out of.

So these stay small on purpose. Ten is the ceiling, not the target.

4 weeksOne month. Short enough to see the end of it from here, long enough for something to actually change — then you decide whether to run it again.

The three gatherings

Pick the time slots that work — the ones you would actually commit to.

All times are Eastern. Central, subtract an hour. Mountain, subtract two. Pacific, subtract three. The form asks your time zone so nobody shows up an hour late to their own squad.

He is not asking for an hour or two hours. He is asking you to stay consistent.

What I say on the lives, and what I mean here

What a squad asks of you

  • Show up. Even on the week you do not feel like it. That is usually the week it matters most.
  • Say something. You do not have to be the loudest one in the room. Your voice still belongs in it.
  • Keep what is said inside the squad. What is shared here stays here. That is how a squad becomes a safe place to be honest.
  • Pray. It is step one on every board, and it is step one here too. You will never be asked to pray out loud before you are ready.

How it works

You reach out. I build the squads. You get an email.

  1. Tell me when you are free

Check every time slot that could work for you. The more you can check, the easier you are to place.

  2. I build the squads

I read every application myself and group people into squads of ten or fewer.

  3. You get an email

Your squad, your time, and your Zoom link. Reply back to confirm. That is it.

Come as you are

God will meet you where you are standing, not where you think you should be.

You do not have to have it figured out to sit in a squad. You do not need the right words, a good week, or a testimony that sounds clean out loud. You just have to show up. He has never once needed me to bring Him somebody who was already put together.

Four weeks is one month. It is short enough to plan around and long enough for God to start something in you that you will still be carrying a year from now — and He finishes what He starts. That is the whole reason this season exists.

"Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."

Philippians 1:6 · NIV

It is five questions and takes about two minutes. No essay, nothing to prove, nothing you can get wrong. And if you have been sitting on this for a few weeks telling yourself you will do it later — that hesitation is the exact thing we are going to work on together. Come anyway.

One straight word so nothing catches you off guard: there are thirty seats across the three squads. If more of you come than I have room for — and I pray that is exactly what happens — nobody gets turned away.
